Happy Holidays from Authority Magazine! We’ve rounded up a few of the hit new songs of the season that we’re forever grateful for. Enjoy Thanksgiving this week and kick off the holiday season with more reasons to be thankful! Add to your Turkey Day playlist and check out a few incredible new tunes below.

“thank u, next” — Ariana Grande

We’re as thankful for Ariana Grande as she is for her exes for this smash.

“Dark Star” — Rachel Reinert

The former front-woman of the star country group, Gloriana, gives us truth and realness in her new single, “Dark Star.” Rachel shines brightly as a dark star, and we’re here for it.

“Money” — Cardi B

Cardi’s new single is an amazing follow-up to all the killer music she’s released all year long. The ultimate Thanksgiving pre-meal, pump-up song, we’ll be keeping “Money” on repeat.

“Closer To You” — Carly Pearce

The adorable Carly Pearce released the first track off her next album and over here at Thrive, we are SO ready for the rest of it. “Closer To You” is an adorable song about her new relationship with rising country star, Michael Ray, and it’s giving us all the butterflies. Look out Faith & Tim, Carly Pearce and Michael Ray are this generation’s country King and Queen!

“Lay Me On Down” — Heidi Raye

Heidi is a rising country singer/songwriter to be on the lookout for, and we’re so thankful we’ve found her new music. “Lay Me On Down” is a fun, yet sultry country slow jam — we can’t wait to hear more from her.

“Houndsman” — JJ Lawhorn

Virginia-native JJ Lawhorn gives us an energy-filled anthem about life on the farm. Essentially a country party in a song — we’re cool with it!

“This Feeling” — The Chainsmokers ft. Kelsea Ballerini

We’re loving *this feeling* we’re getting from these guys’ newest release — it’s just so fun and energetic, and it’s the perfect tune to blast in the car. Forever grateful for the Chainsmokers and KB.

“Sierra” — Calibama

Calibama is a little bit of Simple Plan meets Florida Georgia Line, and we love this one of a kind sound. The Rock/Punktry’s new single, “Sierra,” is a jam.

“Shallow” — Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper

We’re off the deep end. We’re not okay. A star is born, and it’s “Shallow.” Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper can serenade us any day.

“Stand Out” — Queeva

Though she may only be 14, Queeva certainly knows how to write a smash. “Stand Out” is such a cute and uplifting song about being true to yourself.

“Rock & Roll to My Country Soul” — Jenny Tolman

This new song from Jenny Tolman is putting us right in our down home vibes — it’s an upbeat track about finding the perfect match. We approve.

“Hey Whiskey” — Smithfield

The on-the-rise country duo’s single is a classic country ballad; it’s a bit more somber and reflective, but still beautiful. When you need a good cry after the Thanksgiving feast is complete, turn on “Hey Whiskey” and feel all the feels.
